Science at Ashton Primary School is great when:
It's exciting, engaging, practical and FUN.
It's linked to real life.
We ask questions.
We decide how to do it.
There are investigations and experiments.
We learn outdoors.
We learn scientific vocabulary.
We explore, observe, discuss and reflect.
We see science in the wider community.
Through teaching in class, wider opportunities, visits and visitors we aim to build the children's Science Capital - Science Capital is all the science related, knowledge, attitudes and experiences that we acquire through life. It includes what you know and how you think of science.
