Throughout this academic year we will be taking part in Scientific Investigations as part of the BBC Terrific Scientific Project.
We will continue to use Class DoJo to award the children team points and to let parents know what is happening in class. Please check regularly for messages and to keep up to date with our class story.
In Year 5 homework consists of:
Topic homework - this half term the children will be given a homework grid and are expected to complete at least four activities throughout the half term.
Reading - It is important that the children read every night at home. Please discuss the book with your child. Remember to update their diary as this will help them achieve the reading challenge. Reading helps the children's writing skills.
Mathletics - All children in Year 5 have a log in for mathletics. This online learning opportunity helps them to consolidate their learning within class.
Times Tables - All children should know their multiplication facts and the corresponding division facts up to 12 x 12.
We will continue with our Times Tables Challenge.
Any queries or concerns please make an appointment to see me through the school office or contact me via e-mail or Class DoJo.
